Swipe Out (as we call it)

It all happened in a flash …

We all got a mail from the HR - there is going to be a inter DC video competition ... Basically I talk a lot among our group and believe me some times it just torture them by talking. So they actually wanted me to act in that movie and they are going to make sure there is not going to be any dialogs for me ... As usual I dint take that seriously and in fact forgot about the video competition

One fine day Rudesh called me to his cabin played me a old video clip directed by ‘ZACH LIPOSVSKY’ and asked me how it is … I said awesome and he said I am going to act in the remake of the movie which they are planning to shot it for the competition… I was just back from an small accident and I was not even able to walk properly. I had no other options but to say yes (end of the day he is one of my boss).

It was Sunday morning :( we went to office and had a rehearsal of the movie .. It went out well and we were asked dress up in formals and take the final shit…. Oops shot.

I went home and came back in full formals, people were looking me wired … of course they will when they look a dumb idiot walking around in formals on a Sunday.

We were all set and started shooring the film… believe me I gave a hard time to Rudresh. If Vivek (my co star) can finish in shot in 2-3 takes I make sure it take around 5-6 :D

We spent about 6 hours for this 3 mins movie and at the end of the day it came out really nice.

That’s it our work is over… but poor director spent hours in editing and adding the sound efforts to the movie. Once the final version was out I was like wow… great… awesome (not able to think of any other words). I was not able to believe ma own eyes . I am actually looking myself in the screen and I am not that bad you know ..

I would to thank Mr. X who actually started forwarding the movie and now it have reached almost all the software engineers in my place and that’s the power of internet.

i think Rudesh will we having the complete video (unedited/unrated (lol)) .. i will try to get them and write a blog on making of the movie ASAP.

2 days is not enough

Was working hard on an automation project and my team was bugged with the wind-chill files … we were spending more than 16 – 18 hrs before the comp, I hate myself for working like that … I was like a mad man, dead and walking cause of all the issues and coding. I actually started hating wind-chill.

It was around 9 PM, I was on another onsite call showing a demo of a logic that I have prepared… if was so bugged up that day and wanted to go for a long drive before I start working again. Well whenever I feel so bored or moody or irritated, I just start my bike and go to bandipur wildlife sanctuary, 80 Kms from my home.
The call got over and I was about to leave but my phone rang again. This time it was another onsite coordinator who is in charge of the automation project which I was working on.

He asked me how’s the work going and status. Though I was preparing myself for a long drive I told him that I am working and a module… he asked me to stop all the work and go home... I was like “WHAT… this guy must be crazier than me”. I asked him why…. He told me that “THE PROJECT GOT SCRAPED”. I was like... Y!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Need not work on this anymore but at the same time “What the F***, all the hard work is directly going to the bin”.

As decided earlier I went for a drive and next day when we reached office we all knew that the project is scrapped but nothing came out officially. Finally at around 11 AM our manager arranged for a meeting with my entire team. He asked us howz everything going and with a sad face informed us that the project is scrapped… we all acted in such a way that we never knew about that before… lol. He also told us that we all are released from the project immediately.

For the first time in 2 years in was on bench without any work. I was actually waiting for bench and I wanted the bench period to be more than 3 months. My friends told me tat will ruin your appraisals and the productivity will be very less.

Again I am not someone who is worried about all these appraisals and other stuffs. I know what I am doing and what I want to do is right.

First 2 days in bench did nothing but attended a workshop on personal effectiveness. Believe me it was really useful.

Went home for that weekend told all ma friends in Chennai that I am on bench and my project got scrapped and I was so happy that I can actually do something useful in life apart from work.

Monday morning:

Happily went to office and opened my mailbox… got a mail asking me to report to a new manager for my next assignment.

The fun is over now and I am gonna start working on the new project once I complete my knowledge transfer sessions about the new modules in which I am gonna work on.

GOD if you can keep some of friend on bench without any project for more than 8 months… why only 2 days for me.

Yet another sleepless night

And there was reason. I got to hear from my old college buddy Arun after a long time. I started thinking about Arun, my good friend in college. We were in our second year of engineering and were awaiting the juniors to join. Being seniors for the first time was exciting all of us. People were all planning intelligent ragging pranks as ragging was officially banned in our college. Two months down the line, things normalized as usual, no more ragging pranks. Then there was this talk of the town junior Divya. She got famous as the home coming queen in the US colleges. Man, she was one perfect girl: not too beautiful and not less too. I have to confess, even I was after her for sometime as she was from our own department and we were her immediate seniors. Soon I realized that she’s too good to be mine. For me, the life has just been to compromise and to console!

Well, it’s my friend Arun who shocked me when I realized that he was feeling love for Divya. This went unnoticed for most of our friends for quite some time. I was guessing it as I was close to Arun and to some extent knew Divya. Slowly our guys go to know about this as the friendship was too close to remain just friendship. In a year, they got really close. And the question, where this relationship was heading, was getting in everyone’s mind. I felt they made a good pair but are they serious?

Arun was really serious but was playing safe for the obvious reason that he may end up losing her friendship too. Divya looked serious as she let the relationship go on strong and better with Arun hinting his love everyday. She could also be playing smart, but I could hardly get her perspective in this. I just kept myself informed of the relationship.

End of our college days, the relationship was still the same. Arun never proposed. Ask me, there was no need for proposal. But as it happens, in love, a yes or no is needed. The relationship cannot proceed further if it’s not defined properly within the time. May be Arun was more conscious of his friendship than the love. May be she knew of this and made him also realize this and played safe. All my inferences could also end up no where close to the reality. A guy becomes wild when he knows someone figured out his unspoken love. I never wanted to risk that. I thought let me just wait and watch.

It’s been five years since we left college. One of my college friends had mailed his wedding invitation. I was happy to see Arun in the ‘To’ list. I mailed Arun almost after three years and of course was curious to learn about the relationship but the since it was the first mail, I kept it very formal asking about his present life. But his reply answered my curiosity and failed all my inferences about the relationship. I realized how bad I was or rather still I’m in reading a girl’s mind. Thanks Arun for making me realize that.

TWO FRAMES...........

This is a story happening between two friends, true friendship means similar things affecting two lives, and that’s what happens here too, the following Red lines say the story from one character's perspective, and the Black lines from another. The blue lines that comes in the end is something common between both.
Any dam girls’ college you go, the gals out there will be talking about him, his physique, his style, bla bla bla, who else but the hero of the latest block buster movie “Mudhal Kaadhal” …. It’s another movie now and Chinna was supposed to be in the shooting spot in a beach resort in ECR. Everyone was waiting for our hero.
All the college guys are talking about Aakash a movie director who is famous for introducing new hero in all his movies, he used to go to college cultural programs and other shows conducted by college students and pick a new hero for his next movie. But one thing every one can guess is all his movies had 2 heroes and one them will be Chinna, his childhood friend. It’s a new movie now and everyone except for the director is there in the shooting spot.
Director Aakash tried calling his mobile…. “The person you are trying to call has not replied please try again later” that was all the answer the Aakash got.
Chinna threw his mobile in frustration as there is no response for the other side. Yeah he is repeatedly trying to reach Aakash. He was able to see the tension in Kumar’s face. Kumar is the other hero of the movie, a student from PSG Coimbatore doing his final year engineering.
Instead of sending one of his assistants to Chinna’s house he himself went as they both were good friends right from the school days.
The assistant director of the movie and the producer requested Chinna to go to Aakash’s place which is some 40 KM away from the spot and check out what has happened to him.
Chinna’s house is in some 50 KM away Aakash driving his new Honda City which he got as a gift from the gals family whom he is gonna marry was thinking about his old days with Chinna.
The other hero of the movie also joined Chinna and they both were heading towards their director’s house. On their way Chinna was telling the Kumar about his old days with Aakash.
Aakash was studying in one of the best school in Chennai and he was so famous for his creative and lateral thinking in such a young age. He excelled not only in studies but also in other activities like sports n other stuff.
“I knew Aakash for a long time now, we both studied in the college and now working together. It was in the middle of the 3rd semester our batch in charge Mrs. Deepa informed us that a new student will be joining us in another hour”……
Chinna to guy sitting next: “machi entha batch in charge sonnadhu than sonna full solla kudadhu pasgala paaru ponna irrukanum nu kadavula vendhikitu irrukanga”. But for their disappointment it was this guy Aakash.
Chinna joined Aakash’s school when he was in his 7th standard. Later that day they had selection for the football team. Aakash is the under 15 school captain and the best player. Chinna went for the selection and Aakash under estimating him gave the ball to ball and try and said “hey Chinna I will come for the ball now mudinja stop me from taking the control of the ball” Everyone including the coach was shocked to see Aakash failing to take control of the ball and coach told everyone that Chinna moves were still in his eyes. The team was selected and now its time to decide who the captain is. Many opted for Chinna over Aakash making Aakash jealous of Chinna… but Chinna told the coach that he is play only in the position of sticker and doest have much of field experience on the other hand Aakash can play the role of both defender and midfield so as he knows about our team better he should be the captain. Later that day Aakash asked sorry to Chinna for what he was thinking about him and both became good friends.
Chinna joined the cultural team as he was a talented dancer and loves to act in dramas.
The professor asked Aakash to introduce himself
Aakash: “Hi guys this is Aakash. I did my first year in Mumbai …”
As he was introducing himself
Chinna was telling his friend “Machi another Zee TV da”
Aakash hearing that: “Dude yennaku Tamil theriyum, native Coimbatore.” Chinna: “Sorry bro don’t take it seriously.” The same day both of them went for lunch together and had a long conversation between them. Chinna came to know that Aakash is interested in writing stories and directing. Aakash is kinda of guy who never takes life seriously but Chinna on the other hand gives importance to everything. Aakash was weak in mathematics and 3rd maths was supposed to one the most difficult papers to clear. Aakash was trying hard to understand the concepts seeing this Chinna invited Aakash to his house where he can teach him maths. It was during this period of time they both became good friends. The 4th semester started and students were happy that they need not study any other department subjects like electrical and micro processors any more. Later that day the HOD came to class and started talking “Students as we all know the college day is not far away, I spoke with the final year students and they seem to be very busy with their project work and placements. I want you people to do something which will make our department feel proud.” Chinna: “Excuse me sir, what about our immediate seniors?” HOD: “I am ordered by my higher officials not to give them a chance after the skit that they performed last year. Guys I don’t want a repeat of last year performance please”
Chinna told Aakash “Machi eatha vitta namaku Vera nalla chance kadikaadhu… lets prove who we are.” As Chinna was interested in acting he was playing the main role in the skit which was directed by Aakash. The skit was so nice that their department won the award and later Chinna became the general secretary and Aakash the joint secretary of the college cultural committee.
Aakash knew everything about Chinna, except for the reason why he moved to Chennai from Coimbatore... time passed and its time for all students to take a different path and move on... yeah its farewell time. Being best buddies both Chinna and Aakash joined the same college but till date Aakash have never asked Chinna why he moved to Chennai in the mid of his 6th standard or about his mother.
Though they were best friends, Chinna never asked Aakash why he left Mumbai and came to Chennai.
In the car Chinna tried calling Aakash again
Kumar: “Sir is it ringing”
Chinna: “PICK PICK PICK….. DAM what the fuck is this guy doing with his mobile?”
Kumar: “Yenna sir aachu”
Chinna: “That idiot is not picking da, vidu we will go and see. Fine what was I telling?”
Kumar: “you were telling that u became to secretary and ……”
One day during the college days when Chinna told Aakash that he is love with a gal… Aakash gave a wired smile and told Chinna “Never believe a gal they will ditch you and find a better person”. Aakash though don’t hate girls he never believes them at any cause. He keeps telling everyone that girls are cheats.
Sad part was that the college that they joined don’t give much of importance to cultural activities… but they formed a group among themselves got support from their seniors and started protesting against the college management and asked them to change the rule and start giving equal importance to the sports and other extra curricular activities. To everyone’s surprise the college accepted the student’s petition.
Chinna after a lot of effort convinced Aakash that not all gals are cheats and which indeed made Aakash going along with Chinna to his gal friend’s house and started to move along with gals freely.
As it was on Chinna’s and Aakash initiative they were made the joint general secretaries of the cultural committee…. They both started to take short films with the help of the co students. Aakash was directing and Chinna playing the lead role in the stories. One day Chinna asked Aakash to help him in cleaning his room. Aakash told Chinna “dude order me and I will do what ever you want me to do” and later that day they both were cleaning the room. Chinna’s dad entered the room and asked who wants coffee and told them that he going out of town and will be back in a day or two. Chinna asked Aakash to continue cleaning and he will be back with coffee. As he was cleaning Aakash saw an old photo which Chinna have never shared with him before. He was sure that the guy in the photo is Chinna. It was Chinna family picture in which Chinna sitting in his moms lap and his dad sitting next his mom holding a baby. Aakash was speaking to him self “this lady must be Chinna’s mom and the kid must be his brother or sister.” Before Chinna came back with the coffee Aakash kept the photo back inside the book from where it took the same. Chinna doesn’t want Aaksh to see the picture so he asked him to clean the other part of the room.
Meanwhile Aakash and Chinna became famous figures when the short film that they took got the first prize in a contest that was conducted by ZEE network. Even though Aakash and Chinna put equal effort, Aakash got more credit as he directed the film. Aakash was getting a lot of phone calls and many people were congratulating him… as his phone number was published in the paper he started to get calls from some college gals …. One day when Chinna was having Aakash mobile the phone rang and it was a new number… the phone area code was 022. Chinna dint answer the call as its some new number and passed on the phone to Aakash. As Aakash answered the phone his tone changed.
Once they are done with the cleaning work Chinna and Aakash were watching the news channel and as usual the new channels were making news.

BREAKING NEWS: Actor X and Y who got married a year back got divorced.

Aakash being a hardcore fan of ‘X’ wanted to see the whole story in the news but Chinna switched off the TV and lighted a cigar. It was the first time Aakash saw Chinna behaving like this.
As Chinna was wondering who that person on phone was… he heard Aakash yelling at the person on the other end of the phone… “I don’t wanna listen to dam voice again in ma life you B**** “and disconnected the call. Chinna wanted to know about the person who called but decided not ask Aakash and pizz him off again.
Aakash thought Chinna was in some mood off and that’s why he was acting like that. In no time 4 years of college got over and Chinna and Aakash got offer letters from the best software companies in India. Being a mechanical engineer Chinna doesn’t want to join the software firm but Aakash felt the other way. He told Chinna that as he wants to take the job as wants to take some short films and direction is his passion.
Its farewell time now, students were planning something big for the farewell and they invited people from cine industry as chief guest for the farewell. Aakash and Chinna had an excellent theme in their mind and made it as a play. Watching them perform, one of the director who came in as a chief guest assured Aakash and Chinna a role in his next movie which may start in a year time.
Chinna mean while got an offer from one of the best university in US and was in a confused state. But Chinna had something else in his mind. He wanted to join the film school where he can learn more about acting. Aakash advised him to go to US, complete his masters. Now it’s all set Chinna going to US and Aakash joining the software company. Aakash had come to see off Chinna to US. As they were waiting Chinna got a call, Aakash could make out easily that it a same gal who keeps calling Chinna when both were together. This time Chinna was yelling instead of blushing.
As promised by the director, both of them got a chance in the kollywood. The Director told Aakash that he already has many assistant directors so offered both acting roles in his next movie. But Aakash refused to act as his dream was to become a director. Even Chinna quit from the movie as second hero as he wanted to do his film only if Aakash is in there. Now both of them were busy looking for job in one hand and checking with directors is there is any suitable role for them in any film. Being frustrated they both went to a bar and started boozing. Aakash got the same call again, Chinna could make out easily. This time Aakash was crying instead of yelling.
Chinna called up Aakash almost after a month after going to US and asked what he is up to now. Aakash told him that he is earning handful and the same time got offers to make some ad films through which he getting famous in film industry. Chinna felt very happy for Aakash. Aakash asked Chinna “Vera yenna mams, I hope u remember that you are calling me and it’s a international call for you” in reply Chinna told “Illa da naa phone panna matteraa vera, I think you know that a gal keeps calling me often”. Aakash: “Aama da aadhuku yenna ippo”. Chinna: “Ava yenna love panraala da… that’s why last time she called me I scolded her and cut the phone. Ippo daily mail panni disturb panra da”. Aakash: “Nalla kaariyam panna da... I am happy for you”. Chinna: “I wanted to tell this to someone da, yennaku Unna vita Vera nalla friend illa that’s why I called you machi”. Aakash: “Vidu da, everything will be fine. Stop thinking about that and concentrate on your studies yenna. Don’t forget that nee panrathu fast track course and in another 2 months unnaku exam”. Chinna: “Ok da, yellariyum keatadha sollu, Naa apparamaa pesarean”. The call got over. Aakash knew that Chinna is in love with some other gal and that’s why he rejected this gal’s love. But who is that some one???
Now Aakash had this awesome story which sure will be a blockbuster but none of the producer would even listen to it. But one producer was convinced with the story but he wants Aakash to make some other movie before starting the shooting of this movie. Aakash was puzzled. He told the producer “But sir yenkitta ippo indha story than irruku”. The producer told Aakash that he had come to the farewell in which Aakash and Chinna made the skit and he first wants that skit to be made as a movie. After long struggle the green flag was shown to Aakash and Chinna. The producer wants the movie to be released as soon as possible.
Aakash one day got a call from a producer. Going there the producer told him that he saw one his latest ad and was very impressed with that. He asked Aakash if direct a movie which indeed is going to be a Malayalam remake. He asked for a day time and called by Chinna asking him what to do. Chinna told him to take the offer and asked him if he can start the film after a month so that he will as be back in India and can act in the movie. Chinna knew that getting a role of a hero in this movie is not going to be easy. The next day Aakash told the producer that he is ok with the movie and asked when the shooting is going to start. Producer told him the movie will start in another two months time and he wants everyone including the hero and music director in the movie to he new artists. So its all set Aakash is going to direct his first film and Chinna is the hero.
They completed the movie in 7 months time and it was a hit. Aakash and Chinna were bagging all possible awards for new director and actor.
They tried to complete the movie as soon as possible and in 5 months the movie got over and it was released. The movie was a normal hit in ‘A’ category but in ‘B’ and ‘C’ it became a super-doper hit.
Now Aakash was set to make his second film. “Mudhal Kaadhal” was born. It is the script that Aakash was having in his mind for sometime now. Chinna is the main hero and as usual Aakash selected a college student for the second hero role. After listening to the story, Chinna realized what Aakash was going through. Chinna knew it is gonna be big and was sure. After his first movie being a hit the expectations for this movie was really high and as expected the movie was a super doper hit.
Present Day: It's been a year now. They both are working in yet another movie.
Chinna reached Aakash residence, he asked Kumar to stay in the car and he entered the house... shouting “Aakash… Aakash… yenga da irruke”. The maid came out running and he told Chinna “Vanga ayya, yenna aachune theriyela neethu night oru phone vandhuchu aadhuku apparam Aakash thambi kaatha irrundhu room vittu veliye varala”
Chinna opened the door with the spare key and he saw the mobile on the bed and it was switched off and saw Aakash.
Aakash reached Chinna’s house and asked Chinna’s dad “appa chinaaku yenna aachu yean pa inniki avan shootingku varala.” Chinna’s dad “Avan veetliyaa irrukan, naa morning than pa Bombayla irrundhu vandhen avan veliye poi irrukanula nenacha”. Chinna “Sari pa naa poi avan room la paakarean”. As he entered the room he saw an empty VAT 69 bottle, a diary and then noticed Chinna at one corner of the room
He had a beautiful bunch of dark red rose buds, her favorite, in his hand. He stood in silence, staring at the words
" J*****
Born: ** **** 198*
Died: 20 June 2004”

The next one will be 'Mudhal Kaadhal' which is actually the flash back for Aakash.. which will actually tell us the reason....

It's all over, and it's an end of an era

It was only in the year 1991 I started watching cricket with a lot of curiosity… and the following year it was the 1992 Worldcup. The kiwis were the really in a good form at that time and i was supporting them and became a fan of Martin Crowe but me supporting the Kiwis dint last for a long.

When I was talking about cricket with my mom she was just listening to me as she doesn’t know much about the game in-fact even I don’t know much at that time, then ma dad told me about the mighty WINDIES and gave me some books that he has collected during his college days which was about the West Indian cricketers. The book just had pics of those players who toured Pakistan and Indian in 1980s and their records. Ma dad told a lot of Sir Viv Richards and I also got some inputs from ma grandpa. He was also a great fan of the then West Indian team.

We just had Doordarshan at that time and all the matches were not aired live and if you want to any cricket news the only way to read the news paper. One day the news was about a young cricketer who scored his maiden century against the Aussies. Yeah it was Lara and he scored 277 against the odds. From them, till date I am a hard core WINDIES fan…. In fact more than a fan. It's all cause of him, the one and only LARA. He has retired from international cricket now but I am still a great fan of the legendary WestIndian cricket team and will be supporting them at any cause….

Almost all his innings were unforgettable but some of the most memorable innings of Lara that I have witnessed were

His 96 out against Australia in 1996/97... The situation was 10 overs 96 to win and he single handedly won the match which made Australia failing to reach the finals of the Commonwealth Bank Series for the first time since the inaugural competition in 1979-80.

All his innings in the Srilankan tour in which he scored almost 40% of the teams total
His century in the 1996 Worldcup against South Africa
153 in 143 balls against Pakistan in Sharjah

153* against Australia that made Windies win the test match

213 against Australia in the same series – another match winning innings

400* against to England and many more

FOR SOME SUCCESS IS THE WAY OF LIFE..............AND BRIAN CHARLES LARA IS NO EXCEPTION TO THIS RULE..............

Brian Lara' s 277 against Australia in Sydney 1993, his maiden Test century, was the fourth highest maiden Test century by any batsman, the highest individual score in all Tests between the two teams and the fourth-highest century ever recorded against Australia by any Test batsman

Lara celebrates breaking Garfield Sobers' record individual score of 365 in Tests, againt England on April 18, 1994, at St John's, Antigua

And later, Lara relaxes in the changing room after breaking the world record

Lara pulls on his way to 501 Warwickshire against Durham in 1994

Lara sweeps during his hundred against South Africa in the 1996 Wills World Cup quarter-finals at Karachi. Lara single-handedly knocked South Africa out of the tournament

Lara smashes one through the covers on his way to scoring 213 against Australia in 1999. Many say this innings, and his unbeaten 153 in the following Test, were his finest

Yet another special innings from Lara, his innings of 153* taking his team to victory over Australia

Lara was immense in the 2001-02 series in Sri Lanka, scoring an astonishing 42% of West Indies' runs

Almost ten years to the day, Lara breaks the record. Again. His magnificent 400 helped avoid a whitewash by England, whose bowlers had dominated the series

Lara holds aloft the ICC Champions Trophy in 2004, the biggest ODI tournament West Indies achieved under his captaincy

Lara celebrates after breaking Allan Border's record of 11,174 Test runs in Adelaide on November 26, 2005

Lara looks on during the opening ceremony photo shoot of the 2007 Worldcup

Lara walks through a guard of honor to start his final innings

Now its all over... bye bye Lara

Almost conquered Tadiyandamol

Till Wednesday evening I was planning how to go to Irrity for my friend’s sister wedding. I finally got two maps and also got all the info about the petrol bunks on the way as I was planning to go by bike. It was only on Thursday morning my friend Savita called and said she has invited some of our common friends from Chennai and we have to plan something for the weekend and I was confused and not sure what to do, join my Chennai friends and go to Irrity, many ppl told me that the ride all the way to Irrity would have been awesome. Later that day when I was spoke with ma friend Ganesh and I was indeed ordered not to go to Irrity if the Chennai ppl are coming. I have no option now but to join them.

Now the next question was what to plan for???? We had many plans and someone suggested Tadiyendamol. None of us had been there before except for my friend’s project manager Rudresh. Got some inputs from him and decided to go there.

By Thursday evening we got the approval from our HR to borrow the wildlife camping kits from our office (it’s always nice to get something free na) collected the same on Friday. We people did a lot of shopping on Friday for the trip and we are all set for the trek.

Saturday morning ppl from Chennai arrived got ready in hour or so at around 9 we (Myself, Magesh, Parvath, Sunil, Kaki, Lokesh, Mani, Srikanth, Savita)

We all started had our breakfast and we were heading towards Tadiyendamol. Everything was as per the plan till we started but on the way we got delayed and reached the place only at 4. Ppl told us it will not be possible to trek all the way as it’s already late and it would take some 4 hours to reach the peak. Then there was a change of plans and we decided go by the tempo to till Tadiyendamol fort and trek from there.

We reached fort at 5 PM started to walk and there first thing that welcomed us was bit of rain and lot of leeches. A local person guided us to a house where we can get kerosene as we forgot to get them along with us. We reached the house at around 5.30 got the kerosene and started towards Tadiyenda… the place where we have planned to camp is about 5 Kms away the path that was leading us to that point was amazing. It was actually getting foggy and dark as we were heading to the base. The base can be easily identified… It is a point where there is a huge rock and indeed the land is kinda flat too.

6.45 PM and we have reached the base.

Myself and Magesh went in search of the stream and found the same... it was not to my imagination. I actually thought it would a huge stream where was ppl can take bath but it was very thin, may be we went in a wrong season.

The minute we started to set up our tent the started and it was pouring. We managed to set up one tent in the rain and decided to wait till the rain to stop. Finally the rain god answered out prayers and a except for me, sunil n srika, others started to set up the tent. We 3 went in search of wood for the camp fire. But by the time we returned empty handed everything was set. The tents were perfect. We cooked yummy maggi that night.. yeah that was our dinner

It would have been really great if we had a camp fire as we ppl slept in fear (many told us that if we don’t have camp fire leopards may attack us in the night). We planned not to sleep and were chatting sitting on the huge rock till the rain god made us go into the tent n zip our self into the sleeping bags.

Sunday morning we started to trek towards the peak and reached a particular point before where we can take a lot of snaps…

The view from that peak was awesome and we were walking in the clouds. The view from there was enchanting. It was green forest every where and thank god people dint make this place as a picnic spot.

We spent some time there and by the time everyone reached that point it was 8 and few ppl were very tired and wanna go back to the camp. We had simple rule – “either everyone goes or no one goes” after a long discussion we decided to go back to the camp.

The first thing we did was make some breakfast... We had some maggi, bread and egg left. So its time for the veggies to have plain bread and for the others the menu was bread with scrambled egg and half boil ... We collected some stream water for cooking maggi and it tasted better than the one we made the earlier night (I am still not sure if kaki really made it taste good or it’s the stream water that gave the yummy taste)…

Time to pack up and start… :(

If not for the chennai friends (Magesh, Loks n Parvath) bus which was at 7.30 PM we would have reached the peak and spent somemore time in tadiyanda.

It was a truly beautiful trek except for the leeches... btw did i tel u litchi soda is my favourite drink ;)

We managed to take a lot of photos and i will be updating this blog soon with the link of those snaps :)
